Charles Galt (American 1884-1972)

Charles Galt was born in 1884 in St. Louis, Missouri. He studied painting at the St. Louis School of Fine Arts under Richard E. Miller and at the esteemed Académie Julian in Paris. Galt was a member of the 2 x 4 Society. He exhibited at the Art Institute of Chicago, the Corcoran Gallery, the St. Louis Art Gallery and the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts.
