Henri Alexis Schaeffer (French 1900-1975)

Henri Schaeffer was born August 9, 1900 in Paris.  He studied art at the Academies des Beaux Arts.  He was a member of and exhibited at the Salon des Artistes Français, beginning in 1934.

Schaeffer specialized in painting urban Paris scenes. Schaeffer was a Post-Impressionist artist.  Schaeffer's paintings have sold in France, Germany, Holland and the United States.
