Biography

Robert Elton Tindall (American 1913-1983)

Robert Elton Tindall was born on October 11, 1913 in Kansas City.  He studied Kansas City Art Institute and at the Univ. of Kansas, Lawrence where he earned at BA and a MA. Pupil of Thomas Hart Benton, Edward Lanning, and Burnett Schryock.  Lived in Independence, MO in 1962.

In 1940, when Benton organized an exhibition of his best students' work in New York, he chose Tindall and Roger Medearis to participate.
