September 7, 2023 - October 5, 2023

***

Kodner Gallery proudly presents St. Louis Illustrated, a survey exhibition of featuring over 40 works by artist and illustrator, Don Langeneckert (American, 1927 – 2022). A St. Louis native, Langeneckert’s paintings and drawings weave sentimental, nostalgic scenes with the vibrancy of the present moment.

Idyllic and precious, his Rockwellian vignettes illustrate a region teeming with life: From the hoof-trodden lanes of the horse races to sunny fall days at Eckert’s Farm, to the dinging street cars in front of the Fabulous Fox – and of course – a summer afternoon spent at Ted Drewes.

The Langeneckert Family generously granted Kodner Gallery exclusive access to the artists' entire private collection for this exhibition.

The family encourages those interested to follow Don Langeneckert on Facebook.

St. Louis Illustrated will be on view September 7, 2023 - October 5, 2023.

Please join Kodner Gallery for the Opening Reception, Thursday, September 7, 2023, from 5 - 8 PM.

RSVPs are encouraged!

You can RSVP via our event on Facebook (preferred)
